These are just a few of the more than 200 events planned for Fleet Week Miami. Each day, Sailors, Marines, and Coast Guardsmen will be visiting schools, hospitals, community and youth centers, and offering outreach to organizations across Miami-Dade County. The daily schedule is subject to change without notice.
Kick off Fleet Week Miami at the Frost Science Museum, 1101 Biscayne Blvd. Meet Sailors and Marines, and learn about the Navy Stewards of the Sea environmental program, Naval Aviation, Naval scientific research, and see demonstrations by the K-9 team. The best place to see the arrival of the USS Bataan, an amphibious assault ship with crew in their dress whites manning the rails, is South Pointe Park in Miami Beach. Join the community as we welcome the Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard to Miami. An F-18 flyover will mark the arrival of the ship. Please note: There is extremely limited parking. Up to 50 new US citizens will be welcomed aboard USS Bataan to help make their first day as US citizens memorable. This event is being planned in coordination with the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services Headquarters in Miami.
